Ramanujan was born on December 22 in Coimbatore. Born into a Brahmin family in Erod village, Ramanujan’s father was identified as K. Srinivasan Ayangar and his mother was identified as Komaltamal. His father worked in a clothing store. At first, Ramanujan was like a normal child.

For 3 years he could not speak. At the age of 10, he excelled in elementary education throughout the district. At the age of 15, he mastered 1,000 theories of mathematics and was named the Amazing Boy.

Apart from everything else, he paid close attention to mathematics. In 1911, he published an 18-page paper in the Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society. He joined the Madras port as a clerk in 1812, but was introduced to a mathematician.

Ramanujan introduced himself to the world-renowned British mathematician Hardy and introduced his talents, thanks to which he received a scholarship to Madras and later to the University of Cambridge. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cambridge in 1917 and became a member of the Royal Society of London in 1918.

At the time, India was dependent, and the biggest thing for any Indian was getting a Royal Society membership. The history that Ramanujan created in the Royal Society has not yet been achieved by any member. He was the first Indian to receive a scholarship at a British college. He died on April 24, 1920, at the age of 32.
