Rani Lakshmi ji was born in a Brahmin family in 1828 in Kashi i.e. Varanasi. His father Meeropant Tambe Bithur, who worked as a Peshwa in the court, made many contributions for independence since childhood. His focus was education initiation as well as self-defense, horse riding, shooting and siege, participating in work and learning Kidney was always excited. Decided to adopt his brother’s son. The British government objected to the adoption of his son. After which he changed the name of this child to Damodar Rao.

And on 21 November 1853, Maharaja Gangadhar Rao died. At that time Rani Laxmibai was only 18 years old, but due to the patience and courage of the queen and the age of her son, she took over the kingdom at that time Lord Dalhousie was the governor of the time. There was a rule That if there will not be a son of the successor on the rule, then the entire empire will come under the share of the East India Company. The East India Company started pressurizing Rani Lakshmibai and Rani Lakshmibai filed a lawsuit against the British government and Rani Lakshmibai lost the case.

Barsaat March 18 to 1854 Rani Laxmibai refused the East India Company’s capture of Jhansi and left a rebellion in which not only men but women were also involved. To fight this war, she herself started training everyone, as she progressed, many people joined her like Ghulam Khan Dost Khan Khuda Baksh etc. There were about 14000 soldiers and on 10 May 1857 this rebellion started in which he Gave a befitting reply to the British, English soldiers used to loot the city and somehow Rani Lakshmibai managed to escape after saving her son Damodar Rao, see this, due to defeat, she traveled 102 miles in 24 hours and reached her party. Arrived and prepared herself to fight the challenges ahead, she defeated the Maharaja of Gwalior and won the Gwalior fort on the basis of her raid policies.

On June 17, 1858, while fighting a war against the King’s Royal Irish, he took the front of the area east of Gwalior. In this war, even her servants were involved and along with taking care of men, she was also fighting with equal valor. During this war, she was not riding on her horse named ‘Rajaratan’ and this horse was new, which was not able to jump across the canal, the queen understood this situation and continued to fight with valor.

In 2019, a film named Manikarnika is made on Maharani Laxmibai. In which Kangana has played the character of Rani Laxmibai, its shooting started in 2017. Which Kangana started by taking a dip in the Ganges river in Haridwar, the whole country will be grateful to her for the contribution made by Maharani Lakshmi in the freedom struggle and her name will always be immortal in history.
