I want to say my morning greetings to my esteemed principal, teacher and all my classmates. We all know that we all gathered here to celebrate the 73rd Republic Day of our country. This is a very auspicious occasion for all of us. Since 1950, we have been celebrating Republic Day every year with much joy and happiness. Before the start of the festival, our chief guests hoist the national flag of the country. After this we will all stand and sing the national anthem which is a symbol of Indian unity and peace.
Our national anthem was written by the great poet Rabindranath Tagore. In the center of our national flag is a circle with three colors and 24 equal matches. The three colors of the Indian national flag have their own meaning. The saffron color at the top shows the strength and courage of our country. White in the center signifies peace, while green at the bottom signifies growth and prosperity. In the center of the flag is a Navy Blue color circle with 24 equal match sticks, representing the Dharma Chakra of the great King Ashoka.
